News and Updates

June-August 2014

Craziest summer ever? It’s possible. I spent the summer working at Great River Shakespeare Festival, where I did a whole bunch of stuff, including but not limited to: designing the season t-shirts, putting together the educational materials for the Pre-Show Conversations, creating most of the graphic design work for the company, teaching stage combat workshops for kids, talking about a LOT of Shakespeare, and generally being useful around the company.

I was also honored to open Callithump!V, the season’s variety-show and fundraiser with an original slam poem. You can view it here.

May 2014

– I was honored to get to be the guest speaker/host of the Minnesota Community Reader’s Club discussion on Hamlet. I had a great time talking Shakespeare with some local community members and was blown away at the incredibly challenging questions they posed.

I started off the month at the Scandinavian Festival in Rock Island, IL, where I demo’d armor and armor making techniques over the course of the weekend and am now headed up to Winona MN to begin my internship with the Great River Shakespeare Festival!

April 2014

I was honored to be asked to perform some slam poetry as a part of the SPECTRA Reading Series through the Midwest Writing Center. I performed three new pieces. Check back soon for videos from the event!

March 2014

I just got back from Virginia where I visited Mary Baldwin College and saw about 15 plays in 12 days. It was an amazing experience and I am thrilled to be getting ready to head out there for my own degree.

December 2013

The Two Gentlemen of Verona was a hit and I had an excellent time playing Silvia!
