In 2011 I was honored to be chosen to perform my original slam poem “Green Green Hope” at a part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of John F. Kennedy. It was a huge honor, and the “aftermath tour” led me on a year-long circuit of schools, coffee shops and local clubs and organizations to perform my poetry and promote the importance of the Arts in American Communities.
Since then, I have continued to perform my work at various events and occasions around the country, as well as working with both local and national organizations to teach poetry workshops to school kids during National Poetry Month each year.
